Dr. Rachelle D. Hardy

Dr. Hardy is the founder of Cary Family Dental and River Pointe Dental. She has taken a small 2 chair dental office in an old farmhouse in Cary and transitioned to brand-new state-of-the-art dental facility in Fox River Grove. In April 2004, she opened River Pointe Dental of Huntley, LLC. River Pointe dental is the newest and most high-tech dental office in McHenry County.

Dr. Rachelle Hardy completed her undergraduate degree in Bio-Medical Engineering from Syracuse University and earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She continued her training as General Practice Resident at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio and is experienced working with adults and children in all areas of General and Cosmetic Dentistry.

Dr. Hardy is also trained and licensed to perform IV-conscious sedation in the dental setting and has practiced in a family oriented clinic with emphasis on pediatric and medically compromised patients. She also has extensive experience in oral surgery, anesthesia, gum disease, root canal therapy and handling emergencies that involve dental trauma, in a dental office and emergency room setting.

In 2004, River Pointe Dental acquired a Biolase Dental Laser and Dr. Hardy obtained her Associate Fellowship from the World Clinical Laser Institute (WCLI). She is now certified to perform soft and hard tissue laser procedures using the Waterlase system. Dr. Hardy is also a general member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry® (AACD). She is focusing her continuing education in the areas Cosmetic Dental procedures and hopes to achieve fellowship status in the future.

In her spare time, Dr. Hardy, a native of Orland Park, IL, can be found with her husband Mark, their 2yr old son Andrew and their 2 Himalayan and 1 Persian cats named Flora, Fauna and Raja. She is also very involved with her family and friends enjoying everything from dinner and a movie to traveling the globe. She leads an active lifestyle that includes walking, hiking, swimming, dancing, biking, and training at the gym. She is especially fond of spin class and the Taebo workout. Rachelle is also actively involved with the Syracuse University Alumni Club of Chicago.
