Invisalign:

Straight Teeth – No Braces

CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT INVISALIGN!
You always thought about getting braces but were afraid of all the wires and rubberbands right? Invisalign solves all of that. These easy to wear nearly invisible plastic braces are barely noticeable to the untrained eye.

Invisalign® is a breakthrough in orthodontics that uses advanced 3-D imaging technology to straighten teeth (adult and teen-aged) using a series of clear, removable, nearly invisible plastic appliances called “aligners.”

The company was founded in 1997 and is headquartered in Santa Clara, California. More information on Align Technology (NASDAQ: ALGN) and Invisalign is available at www.invisalign.com.

Bill Gates step aside. Silicon Valley just found another use for computer technology and this time it’s beauty – not brains – making headlines with an orthodontic breakthrough designed to bring a smile to adults and teens seeking straight teeth.

Whether you’re an image-conscious baby boomer, 20- or 30-something year old starting a new career, or a self-conscious junior in high school, now you can grin without the “metal mouth.” Thin, nearly invisible, clear plastic “aligners” straighten teeth. It’s called Invisalign, and it marries traditional orthodontics with cutting-edge three-dimensional computer imaging technology.

Perfect smiles are all the rage and no wonder: research* shows that people with nice smiles are perceived to be smarter and are paid more. Straight teeth and perfect smiles are all the rage. Robin Green, executive producer of “The Sopranos,” wears aligners and says, “In a high profile industry like television, it would have been difficult to wear traditional braces. The aligners are so invisible; even the make-up artists on “The Sopranos” set didn’t notice I was wearing something to straighten my teeth.” Celebrities like Beverly Johnson, Matt Dillon, Bridget Hall and Donald Trump are spending upwards of $20,000 for oral makeovers. But “aligners’ are different. Here’s how:

Benefits of Invisalign:
• Nearly invisible: You can straighten your teeth without anyone knowing.
• Removable: You can eat and drink what you want.
• Better oral hygiene: You can brush and floss normally to maintain healthy gums and teeth.
• Comfortable: There are now wires, metal or brackets to cause mouth abrasion.

How it Works:
• If treatment is appropriate, our trained doctors custom-fit a series of clear, plastic, removable “aligners” that snap over your teeth.
• “Aligners” are worn for about two weeks then replaces with another set with a slighter different calibration that progressively straightens teeth.
• Treatment series uses as few as 12 and up to 48 sets of “aligners.”

FYI:
• Invisalign treats the majority of people who qualify for braces.
• According to Align Technology, 50% of adults age 25-to-49 – or 50 million adults -- “wish their teeth were straighter.” Yet less than 1% opt for braces each year.
• According to the Journal of the American Dental Association between 2/3 and 3/4 of adults could benefit from orthodontic treatment, but only 15 percent of adults currently have braces.
• Journal of Clinical Orthodontics reports only 0.4% adults (25-49) seek treatment annually; mainly because they don’t want to wear brace
• Both Dr. Hardy and Julie our Hygienist are currently undergoing Invisalign treatment)

“THE INVISALIGN® SMILE SURVEY” AT A GLANCE
The Invisalign ? Smile Survey was conducted by telephone by Harris Interactive on behalf of Align Technology, Inc. The study was conducted on a representative sample of 1000 American adults -- both men and women -- between 18 and 50 years of age. The poll -- the first national survey of its kind -- explored the importance of smiles in relation to business and careers, dating and marriage, the social arena, and the overall value of smiles and selfesteem.

Smiles and the Social Arena
• 94% of those polled said they are likely to notice a person’s smile when they meet them for the first time. People are less likely to notice someone’s eyes, height or figure.

• Over one-third agree bad teeth overshadows the rest of a person’s appearance.
• An overwhelming majority of adults (85%) consider a person’s smile to be very important at initial meeting.

Smiles and Self-Esteem
• Almost two-thirds (64%) agree that people with a nice smile are more outgoing.
• 77% think that wearing braces as an adult makes a person feel self-conscious.
• Over one-third of adults would trade a trip abroad, new wardrobe or other aesthetic surgery for straight teeth.
• 87% think one’s smile is very important to their self-esteem.
• When asked which facial characteristic they would change if they could, one in four adults (25%) would change their teeth/smile. Smaller proportions would change their skin (17%) or nose (13%).

Smiles and the Opposite Sex
• 84% of adults perceive having an attractive smile as important for getting a date with Mr. or Ms. Right.
• Over one-third would not be likely to set up their best friend on a blind date with someone with crooked teeth.
• One-third would not be likely to kiss someone with crooked teeth.
• An overwhelming majority of adults (85%) consider a person’s smile to be very or somewhat important at first meeting.
• Almost 9 out of 10 (86%) think people with good teeth are more attractive to the opposite sex.

Smiles and the Workplace
• 74% perceive an attractive smile as important for getting the job of their dreams.
• Over one-third agree that a person with bad teeth gets fewer job promotions.
• Three out of four adults (75%) think an attractive smile is important for succeeding in the workplace.

Smiles and Good vs. Bad Hygiene
• Only 19% would be likely to share a bite of their sandwich or their ice cream cone with someone with crooked teeth.
• Almost half agree (45%) that bad teeth are a sign of bad personal hygiene.
